Disadvantages of Being a Vegetarian
Vegetarianism is becoming more and more popular today. To feel fit people are trying to eat healthy food, drink clean water, and go in for sports. For many of them healthy food means vegetarian food. Even a child today knows that vegetarians do not eat meat, poultry, and fish. And by many it is considered as the main advantage. But let’s look at this from another point of view.
Mother Nature created human beings in such a way that they need both vegetable and animal food. And when someone refuses from not just eating meat, poultry, and fish, but even from milk, it contradicts our natural needs and may have negative influence on physical and mental health. Thus the main advantage of being a vegetarian turns into its main disadvantage.
There are other smaller disadvantages of being a vegetarian. As an example, imagine that your friends or relatives invited you to a wedding. How do you think what kind of foods there will be? That’s right! There are two ways out: refuse from eating anything or put your vegetarian principles aside for a while.
There are also psychological and social points. Some vegetarians can’t even look at how other people eat what they don’t. It’s just too much for them. And it can be the reason for quarrels and breakups.
